October 13th, 2007 by lallie

I guess this late na yung post ko…anyway, just to share with you my Shenzen-Shanghai-Beijing trip last April..hehehe it’s really way to late…but worth sharing J

The trip was I think about 8 days…hmm..I really can’t remember..oh well, the trip was really really tiring…educational and a lot of plane rides and a lot of fun.

Day 1…

Manila

to

Macau

to Shenzen

The trip was delayed…four hours delayed grabe..but we were given a VIP treatment naman by NAIA…buti naman noh…ayun andun kami sa VIP lounge..may food sila duon then lounge…ayun dun kami naghintay… naghintay…at finally we boarded Air Macau.  Yahoooo…here we go….and

sana

makababa kami sa

Macau

..I so love the place!

Upon arrival…we boarded the bus then off to Shenzen…too bad… we cannot go down…ayun sight-seing lang saw Taipa, Macau Tower…hayyy I really miss Macau…

it was a long ride to Shenzen and twas already really late…I think we arrived there around 2:00am…then off to doze off and rest….

…Shenzen…

In the morning, we ate some Chinese breakfast it was noodles, noodles, and noodles…lahat ng klaseng noodles…ai nakakapraning kase walang kape…so ayun magtiis sa Chinese dish…

Oh well the restaurant was packed with Filipino travelers…para kaming nasa Pinas J

We met our group, 4 families…and kami friends hehehehe…one family kina Kathleen and her Mom, then the Go Family (Mr Wlifred Go and his wife and the cute kid), Ventura Family (….sila Tita, Tito, Yshi, Monique and Alexis), then Marvin and his Tita.

P.S. Hi to you all of you! J

Anyway, they were a good company…at first they were asking if we were family, sympre hindi..then friends…next question was…how did we become friends..officemate bad daw or churchmate..err huwat?? Hehehe

Moving on…we went to the Wonders of the World…but we decided not to go in but rather go shopping…we just had some pictures then ayun may pinggan ako na picture hahaha!…ai naku…napakamahal na pinggan!

Then after had dinner then went to

Shanghai

via China Eastern Airlines….hmm…tama ba?

….Shanghai….

As far as I remember I think it was also late when we arrived

Shanghai

but not as late when we arrived Shenzen…so ayun sympre tulog…we did not unpack coz the next day we have to go to

Beijing

..o diba…jetsetter…

In the morning….at least medyo ok naman ung food sa hotel, but then there was a coffee, a ready made one with milk…as in nakatimpla na….pero hindi ko pa din like..pano napaka oily ng pagkain sa

China

!

Oh well anyway, ayun we went to the

Paris

of

Asia

..then Oriental Pearl, ung TV Tower at yung susunod daw na tallest building in the world…saka mga factories..

Then left

Shanghai

and off to

Beijing

again via China Eastern Airlines…

Beijing

The weather in

Beijing

was 11 degrees…acckkk!! I just so hate a very cold weather..ayun sympre sinipon ako…ano pa nga ba maasahan ko diba? we thought it was only 18 degrees…as if eh ganun pa din yun…

But

Beijing

was the highlight of this trip..the best! Kahit sinisipon ako go! Hahahaha…we went to Forbidden Palace, Tiananmen Square, Summer Palace, and the Great Wall of China (minus one na….six wonders of the world na lang dapat ko makita…lol) and well a lot of factories…lahat at ng factory ng China napuntahan naming..Silk Factory, Jade Factory, Jewelry factory at napakadaming factory pa hahaha…also we went where the Beijing 2008 will be held..may countdown na nga duon eh…grabe preparation nila for the Olympics…

So ayun..to top it all..sympre may shopping…ayun shopping galore…eto ung funny…nakabili kami ng 32GB na thumbrive at 30yuan! Meaning pag kinonvert mo yun sa peso it would be around 200 pesos plus lang..we had a doubt pero sympre buy pa din..hmm..32GB! as in GB ha! Pero ayun pagdating ng

Manila

sira hahaha..

China

talaga imitation lahat! Kaloka!

We spend 2 days sa

Beijing

…maganda duon, well I really enjoyed

Beijing

…kahit pa nagkasakit ako go pa din!

We went up to the Great Wall of China…wow as in bakit ba ginawa yun…dapat Gret Stairs of China yun eh…I never went up nakakapagod…sobrang taas…it was really amazing…as the story goes sabi it was man-made..wow talaga…

Yung

Forbidden

Palace

naman..sobrang laki…napakalaki….imagine may Palace na may

Summer

Palace

pa…I just remembered Princess Hours and the Palace…oh well…hmmm…sarap maging Princess…hehehehe…

….Beijing to

Shanghai

….

So ayun…we went off to

Shanghai

again visited a

Chinese

Medical

Hospital

wherein the Doctor would just look you in the eye and then kakapa kapain lang yng balat mo..then malalaman nila yung sakit mo…then from

Beijing

we flew back to

Shanghai

….Shanghai to Shenzen…to Macau back to

Manila

Then again from

Shanghai

we flew back to Shenzen then rode a long bus ride again back to Macau then flew to

Manila

Phew! A lot of plane rides and factories! Hehehe…but the trip was worth it…but I’d suggest you really have to go there with a tour guide or you will really be lost!

We were just lucky to be with wonderful people during the trip…

To Aira and Sil….Cheers guys! Looking forward in our next overseas trip…to those who were with us…thanks for a great company! It was a blast!  Xiexie for the great time!

P.S.  I just wished I remembered those Mandarin words na pinag aralan ko…oh well, ayun nakalimutan na….parang

sana

may subtitle na lang yung sinasabi nila diba! Eto nakakatawa since we forgot our Mandarin lessons, ayun sign language kami parati! and it was kinda effective in a way…hehehe…

P.S.  Belated Happy Birthday Monique!

A writer’s description of professionalism.

October 13th, 2007 by lallie

Have you ever encountered a person who uses his status to get what he wants? Well I did…Just last week I got to talk to this writer..oh well mind you, kilala sya na writer…he also does events as well…so he had this proposal…and having done events myself I find it way toooooo expensive…I was able to talk to him and I asked him if he can lower down the price…but I never said yes that we would join…I just told him that I will see if ever he can lower the budget…

Then after a few days I received an email…an MOU…so I was surprised coz why he sent this MOU when in fact I have not agreed yet….He should have called me to tell me that they already agreed on the price I was asking…and ask if we are still willing to join…after all he’s the event organizer and he should know that…

Hindi dahil writer sya at mag aassume sya na mag joi-join ang lahat or else what..a negative publicity? Wow is this how you define professionalism?

Then when I told him that we already could not join because of an upcoming event…aba! this writer sent an email to my boss saying I was unprofessional…DUH!…kahit naman magsend sya ng kung ano anong email sa boss ko eh..HELLO!…as if..scary…??

Anyway, to go on…according to his email they already had printed collaterals with our logo..eh hello! In any commitment, you should have a WRITTEN contract kundi ba naman sya ****** diba! Oh well at hindi lang yun..this writer has this website and meron syang portion duon na blind item..and surprisingly this writer does a lot of blind items to those  people he transact with or he even knows of…is this his description of being a professional?

…Is this how you do business Mister?  All I can say is… He’s a DIRT in the industry..

Just beware of this person…hmm..some clues…he’s got the English name and the true Chinese name of Bao Long…errr..excuse me kahit kapangalan nia si Bao Long malayo hitsura niya duon….kahit kuko nde pede..bwahahaha!

my Trip to Bantayan island

October 12th, 2007 by lallie

Just last week we were off to the South…It was supposedly to the island of Malapascua but since there was a lot of changes that came along the way we settled for Bantayan Island.

Thanks to the Piso fare of Cebu Pacific…we were supposed to be around 20 plus or something but since it was booked last May, change happens…well, I almost did not make it to this trip coz we had a meeting at Thailand on the same day…but since sabi nga nila pasaway ako I said I will not join..hehehe…I’d choose to have some fun rather than be with my boss…hehehe..

Anyway, off to

Cebu

…our flight was 645am…damn! it was really early, I have to wake up before 5am…had met up with Sil who lives in the same area as I am…we arrived just in time at the airport..had a quick breakfast..everyone was I guess sleepy..including myself…I was hoping that the weather was ok in Cebu since it was really raining the past week in

Manila

.

Upon arrival, the weather was perfect…we hired a van so it would take us to the ferry station.  The driver said it was only an hour from the airport..oh well one hour seems to be…ehem three hours…wow..it was really far! Nakakaloka ang one hour!  We arrived at Hagnaya by around 11am and the ferry was already about to leave so we hurriedly bought the tickets…we got the first class…but unluckily for the first class it was not so nice ..hehehe…we were all very hungry and tired…the ride was not so good…nakakahilo and nakakasuffocate…well probably coz we were really starving and tired…

We finally arrived at Bantayan by 130pm…had only crackers..we had to ride a jeep to the resort.  Buti na lang maganda yung location ng resot…it was relaxing.  Our cottage was located in the beacfront..so we unpacked, took a quick rest oh well not really siguro, I guess we just surveyed the area…at least the place was great.

Now, we have to get ourselved food..as in, we went to the restaurant and was shocked with the price..argh! presyong

Makati

ano ba! Imagine a one meal for a person P195.00 anyway we decided to get some food outside the resort…then we settled with the the restaurant DJungle…we ordered chopsuey, sinigang (na may replyo..duh! naconfused yata yung nagluto…) adobo…and rice..we paid almost 300 bucks each..nyak ganun din…eto ang catch the sinigang was P950, the chopsuey was I thin around P700 and I’m not sure about the other meals we ordered but the cost was the same…nakakaloka..and mind you ganun pa pala lahat ng prices nila duon…OMG! tama ba naman yun..buti pa sa Bora you can have a hearty meal for a 100 bucks diba! Anyways, so at least we were ok..pagbalik namin sa resort we just relaxed…ayun natulog, kwentuhan…ala ka na iba magagawa kase walang TV hahahaha..we just stayed there the whole afternoon.

Then the next day, we went off to Virgin Island coz napakalakas ng wave sa Bantayan plus sobra ding daming weeds…So ayun we went off to Virgin Island twas 30 mins away from the place we are..

The place was cool, kami lang nanduon and we had seafoods for lunch and ayun naligo the whole day…we enjoyed the place..and went back around 4pm. We then had our dinner at D’Jungle again, but now it was a buffet dinner.

We left Bantayan at around 900am the next day and off to

Cebu

.  Now we paid for the third class sa ferry…hehehe…learned our lesson the first time.

Anyway, when we arrived in

Cebu

we went to Ayala and ate lunch at around 200pm, had lechon, and my favorite Chinese rice toppings..

sana

magkaroon nito sa

Manila

, authentic Chinese rice toppings from Dimsum Break…and a whole lot of balat ng lechon hahaha…

We had Starbucks in the afternoon, then we went to Magellan’s cross..again….tour guide ulit..tour guide na d cgurado hahaha…then off to Tabuan to buy some danggit and posit..yum yum…and off to airport..

It was well, relaxing, fun and cool. Hope to have this trip with you again guys…Thanks Kaye, Sil, Jel, Bubbles, Tin, Glady, Ponky, Coney and Mariliza…muah!

oh well..ganun talaga ang mga feeling…siguro wala na kong magagawa dito…ang sa akin lang naman eh umayos ng tama kung saan ka nararapat..kahit pa ba sabihin na kse ganito at ganito eh tumigil!…so nde ikaw yun diba? just be yourself para magustuhan ka….isa pa, mahirap magbalat kayo..eh pati nga pangalan pinalitan iniba pa eh…haller!

Summer Lovin’

April 15th, 2006 by lallie

Amidst the hurdles and bustles of my busy life at long last I finally had my long awaited vacation…Erm…It was actually a long planned HK trip with my super friends…It was planned a year and a half ago without really knowing if it will really push thru..why? well…coz simply the concert might not push thru….whose concert? You know who…hehehehe…

What a way to start summer indeed….a perfect getaway from the piles of work on my desk, a moment away from my uberrrrr supperrrrrrrr kainisssss boss…hay…and….a break from my day to day life…yahooooo!!

Plane Ticket…check…(thanks to my super friends for the booking)…, Hotel Vouchers…check, Itinerary …check…all set…

Day 1 : Time check 1030am, meeting time 11am, ughh…left from Ortigas to Clark by 1pm , thanks for the ride Kaye..a short ride from Ortigas to Clark…shuckx! Why does this airline have to be in Clark…hehehehe…..

First stop…Macau….one word to describe this place ..Perfect!

Fog, cool breeze (hi maan!), drizzle….amazing! of course coming from the land where the heat of the sun sticks on your skin hehehe….I never thought I’d be needing jackets this month of the year…hahahaha….

…First bus ride route AP1 to hotel…thanks to those Pinoys whom we’ve met along the way…they were indeed a great help and a very helpful tour guide for us starting from the first bus ride…

First Lesson :  “Barya lang po sa umaga…” This famous line should be not only in the morning and is really a very helpful reminder when going out of the country…or else no change for your bus ride…hehehehehe

Touring around, we took another bus taking us to Macau island since our hotel was located in Taipa…

Macau is comprised of three cities that is connected by bridges, quite pretty small, probably a little bigger than Singapore as per my own assumption.

We went to hit off the first in the list which was the Nam Van lake or the Cybernetic fountain…along the way we met this Pinay lady who guided us going to the Nam Van lake…It was one of the scenic spots because of the singing fountain and I read somewhere that it is one of the tallest fountains…too bad there was no show when we went there…just by walking you will really be fascinated with the place itself.

Then we went to Macau tower and was really very delighted  seeing those Hello Kitty’s.  It was a fantastic sight to see especially for Hello Kitty lovers like me.

It was getting late and we were starved to death, but then we still decided to go to the infamous  Leal Senado Square, it was marvelously designed, from the lights to the flooring and all…and finally we got to take our dinner at long last…and unluckily the food was erm….I think I’d rather go for the local goto than the congee I’ve eaten..ulk..

Then while walking around….we saw the St. Dominic Church…some boutiques and Starbucks which was unfortunately closed and McDonalds…then after a long tiring day we decided to go back and to get some rest and sleeeeeeep!

Day 2 :  Had to maximize the day before we leave Macau, so before leaving we made sure to drop by Taipa Village and to drop by Mount Carmel Church. It was a pleasant sight to see those nice facade and structures of the buildings along the way.

It was one cold morning and I took a sausage mcmuffin and coffee while strolling the Taipa Village and looking for the Mount Carmel church,  then we went back to Macau to go to Ruins of St.Paul, another infamous sight not to be missed while in Macau.

Second Lesson :  Be mindful of the exit and entrance especially in buses..hehehehe..

Then in the afternoon we checked out and took the ferry from Macau to HK.  It was approximately over an hour ride thru First Ferry that was bound for Kowloon.

By around four o’clock we arrived HK and the weather was the same as Macau it was drizzling and it was cold…now we took the taxi going to the hotel and to take some rest.

Third lesson :  Try not to sit in the front seat if possible or you’ll end up exchanging seat with the driver hehehehe…

Upon checking in we went to our rooms and went to freshen up and changed a bit for a little shopping and to eat! We just have to find some decent meal to satisfy our hungry stomaches.

Then we strolled along Nathan Road, the nearest shopping area around the hotel, went back and then prepared for the most anticipated concert of this year…to Hongkong Coliseum….Whoa!!

F4 surprises me a lot with tons and tons of fans from all over the world (not that I don’t trust their “powers”) they really filled up the coliseum and it was not even the first night!  Song remixes from their old albums plus some songs from different artist, twas a two hours fun filled night that brought back all the excitement and the joy in watching them again. Approximately 10 rows from the stage, quite not that near but it was a good place, got to see there uhm…sexy performances hehehehe…A coliseum filled with screams, cheers and songs that I couldn’t really comprehend but love to listen to..hehehehe…..

Right after the concert we waited for  some of our friends and I actually lost count as to how may we were…It was quite a number of us who went to watch the concert…Unfortunately we really did not have any choice but go to McDonalds to grab something to eat, so better than nothing…

It was another tiring and exciting day….I was just so excited to hit off the bed and sleeeep…hahahaha…..

Day 3 :  To see Mickey or not?  To go to Disney or not?  Rain rain go away so Mickey and I will play….hehehehe…

It was a cloudy morning and we were at lost if we will still push thru the Disneyland tour as planned because of the weather, finally we decided to go!

Upon seeing the Mickey Mouse MTR we were all very ecstatic, who wouldn’t be? hehehehe…anyway, when we reached the entrance of Disneyland no one could stop us from taking those shots…it was not even the main entrance!

As we reached the ticketing station, we rushed to enter and decided to grab something to eat first… to my surprise the food was not so expensive! Munched some sandwich along the way and waited for the Disney on Parade…

It was a parade of the Disney stars and we were very amazed that the performers were Filipinos…they greeted us Mabuhay and would go near us for some pictures…It was something uplifting to see Filipino performers on the International scene with my very own eyes rather than just reading about them.…

After a whole day Disney experience, we rushed out to catch the last day of the concert.  Just in time, we changed in comfortable clothes and rushed to the coliseum.

It was really not part of the plan but we wanted to catch the last day of the concert, and because it was not planned we were located at the far end of the coliseum…my head was spinning with the sight of the full packed coliseum with blinking lights, screaming fans…..  It was like a ride in the Space Mountain!  I swear it was so hard to move from my place!  I never really imagined watching a concert that far!  It was really faaar!  At least we were fine throughout the whole concert and I never fell from the last row to the stage hahahaha!

Then after the concert, we went out to eat some Chinese food near the hotel and went back to our rooms and packed the things….too bad we have to leave the next day!  Another tiring yet fun day!

Day 4 :  Ugh!! No time to sleep we have to rush to the ferry terminal to catch the 830am ferry ride to Macau!

Luckily we were able to change the time in most of the tickets because we really did not get to be on the same time when we got the tickets….. fortunately, we survived with all the hassles along the way hehehehe. Upon reaching Macau’s immigration,  there were tons as in TONss of passengers from HK!!! It was a very horrifying sight to see as in!!!! a full packed immigration yikes!! “ano to pila ng concert???!!!”

After the long wait at the immigration, we then walked towards the fisherman’s wharf which was a few blocks away from the ferry terminal, along the way you will see the floating casino and the huge façade of the first part of the wharf…it was a great sight to see….I really could’nt believe that Macau is a part of China…the other part of the wharf was something like a Roman inspired, truly fantastic…we just took some shots and ate our lunch then went to the airport…

Oh by the way my last lesson : Never forget where your boarding pass is…hehehehe

One way to describe this trip was exhausting and I did enjoy a lot! I look forward to more trips like this…and one thing I could say…I love Macau…and love to go back there!….hehehehe

Itsu ka dare ka to mata koi ni ochite mo
I’ll remember to love
You taught me how
You are always gonna be the one
Mada kanashii love song
Now and forever…

English Translation

the last kiss
tasted like tobacco
a bitter and sad smell

tomorrow, at this time
where will you be?
who will you be thinking about?

you are always gonna be my love
even if I fall in love with someone once again
I’ll remember to love
you taught me how
you are always gonna be the one
it’s still a sad song
until I can sing a new song

the paused time is
about to start moving
there’s many things that I don’t want to forget about

tomorrow, at this time
I will probably be crying
I will probably be thinking about you

you will always be inside my heart
you will always have your own place
I hope that I have a place in your heart too
now and forever you are still the one
it’s still a sad song
until I can sing a new song

you are always gonna be my love
even if I fall in love with someone once again
I’ll remember to love
you taught me how
you are always gonna be the one
it’s still a sad song
until I can sing a new song

this is a japanese song from the ost of FORBIDDEN LOVE dorama (they call it dorama in japanese) starring Takizawa Hideaki…I love the ost :) …I’m not just so into the story but i like some of the lines they’ve used like what FREEDOM truly means and..a lot! :)
